550th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Guru Nanak Jayanti
Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known Guru Nanak Gurpurab or Guru Nanak’s Prakash Utsav is an important Sikh festival, commemorating the birth of Sikhism’s first Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is the most significant festival for the Sikh community and is celebrated with extreme devotion and reverence.

This year its is the 550th Birth Anniversary celebration and here are the some special arrangements being done for this occasion:
- Punjab CM invites PM Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind to attend the 550th birth Prakash Parab celebration
- Delhi - Ludhiana ' Sarbat Da Bhalla' Express Train launched as a Tribute to Guru Nanak Devji
- Nepal Launches a commemorative coin to mark the 550th anniversary of Guru Nanak
- 500 plus Sikh pilgrims have crossed over to Pakistan at Kartarpur corridor for the celebration

- Saplings have been readied to give out as Prasad during the anniversary celebrations
- Most Importantly, the Kartarpur Corridor has been opened for visit specially for all Nanak devotees
- National Highway between India-Pak has been renamed Sri Guru Nanak dev ji Marg
- UNESCO to publish anthology of Guru Nanak Dev’s writing in world languages
